Scott has over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry, most of which has involved managing claims litigation and related insurance coverage issues. Passionate about delivering world-class service to his clients, he’s a specialist in management liability claims. In addition to developing creative solutions to complex coverage issues, he’s known for his ability to distill highly technical information into easily understandable terms for clients.
Prior to joining Woodruff Sawyer in 2017, Scott served for nearly three years as senior vice president in JLT’s Legal and Claims Practice, where he supported clients and brokers with executive liability matters. Prior to that, he served as managing director in Aon’s Legal and Claims Practice for eight years. His background also includes eight years as in-house counsel at MediaOne Group, AT&T Broadband, Comcast and TeleTech. In these roles, he supported risk management, risk finance, insurance, claims and corporate compliance.
Scott began his career in private practice with a prominent Denver law firm, specializing in insurance-related matters. He has a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and a juris doctor degree from Syracuse University.
