Yelena Dunaevsky, ESQ

Yelena is a corporate finance and securities attorney and a member of Woodruff Sawyer’s transactional insurance brokerage and SPAC teams. She advises clients on M&A- and IPO-related insurance solutions, including representations and warranties insurance and D&O insurance. Yelena is a frequent author of articles on various aspects of corporate transactions and related insurance coverage. She serves as the M&A managing editor of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today.

Prior to joining Woodruff Sawyer, Yelena oversaw the development of Bloomberg Law’s practical guidance, reference and analysis content, covering capital markets, M&A, securities, and general corporate law. She led several initiatives in deal and legal analytics including the analysis of the SPAC market and the development of outside author contributor base.

Prior to Bloomberg Law, Yelena practiced corporate finance law in New York as a senior capital markets associate at Clifford Chance and a corporate associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae (later Dewey & LeBoeuf), where she represented issuers and underwriters in IPOs, public and private debt and equity offerings, ’34 Act reporting, M&A transactions, exchange listings and corporate governance matters.

Yelena received her BS in Economics from Cornell University and her JD from Fordham University School of Law.
