Mike oversees the finance, accounting, and treasury teams, and is responsible for financial planning and analysis, reporting, and revenue operations, as well as tax, retirement plan, and equity administration. During his time with Woodruff Sawyer, Mike has continuously developed the structure, people, and tools that are foundational to a Finance team that enables the business to function effectively and acts as a strategic business partner across our enterprise.
Mike joined Woodruff Sawyer in 2014. He began his career in financial services as a vice president for State Street Alternative Investment Solutions, where he specialized in financial reporting on complex fund structures, engineering solutions to complex accounting/administration issues and providing on-site client management. In this role, he stabilized several at-risk client relationships by examining their operational processes, implementing successful workflow models, and creating additional control procedures for client-specific nuances.
Mike has a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University, a master’s degree in accountancy and a graduate certificate in taxation from Bentley University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Merrimack College. He is licensed as a certified public accountant in Massachusetts and holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
