Client Relationship Director, Employee Benefits
Susan brings more than 30 years of experience in employee benefits to her role at Woodruff Sawyer, where she leads the Account Executive team. She resolves complex client issues and concerns, encourages employee engagement and productivity, and ensures we consistently delight our clients.
Her experience spans multiple areas of focus, including self-funded plans, ERISA trusts, captives, alternative risk solutions, claims administration, sales team management, and client services.
Her previous work experience ranges from starting her own insurance agency to serving in leadership roles at various insurance companies and brokerages, including AAA Northern California, De La Torre & Young Insurance Services, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., and Anthem Blue Cross. Before joining Woodruff Sawyer, Susan oversaw all benefits insurance programs for a large national employer.
Susan studied law at Northwestern California University School of Law and earned her associate's degree from Modesto College. She holds a Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) designation.
