San Francisco, CA – May 15, 2013 – Woodruff Sawyer announced today that Stan Loar will become the Chairman of the Board and Doug Morton will transition from the role of Chairman to become Executive Director. Charlie Rosson will continue as CEO.
As Executive Director, Doug’s full-time focus will be on business development, key strategic initiatives, staff recruitment and mentoring. Doug will continue to actively work with clients and serve as a member of Woodruff Sawyer’s board of directors. “I’m excited and energized to evolve my role in ways that will help to further advance the company,” said Doug.
Stan Loar will become Chairman effectively immediately. “I will continue the legacy that Doug and I have built as stewards of our corporate vision—to enhance the security of our clients and be the broker of choice for organizations in a rapidly changing insurance and business environment.” Leadership is no new role for Stan. Before becoming Vice Chair, he served as Woodruff Sawyer’s CEO for 13 years. He is also past chairman of Assurex Global and its international executive committee.
This transition comes at a time of positive, sustained growth at Woodruff Sawyer, where the strong management of CEO Charlie Rosson and COO Mary Sklarski combined with Stan’s proven leadership and inside industry knowledge will keep the firm poised for continued success.
