Gil Isidro Joins Woodruff Sawyer As Lead Coverage Counsel

San Francisco, California – Woodruff Sawyer, one of the largest insurance brokerages in the US, today announced that Gil Isidro has joined as Lead Coverage Counsel for the firm’s Management Liability Practice. Prior to joining Woodruff Sawyer, Gil was the Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel of AIG Property Casualty where he was responsible for the legal oversight of AIG Financial Lines’ management liability division. In that role, Gil penned many market-leading products, such as the Executive Edge and Side-A Select policy forms, and his work on the Halliburton Event Study Endorsement resulted in an “Innovation of the Year” award from Advisen.

In his role as Lead Coverage Counsel, Gil will work with the Management Liability team on policy interpretation and underwriter intent and counsel clients regarding their legal exposure, risk management, corporate governance, and policy coverage. In addition, Gil will track legal trends and drive state-of-the-art coverage solutions, aid Account Executives on complex policy negotiations, guide reviews with coverage counsel, and assist with internal best practices around coverage reviews and client deliverables.
