John Canepa, Sr.

John serves as a technical consultant within the field of fire protection engineering, regulatory agency compliance, highly protected risk property conservation, and natural hazards loss prevention. He focuses on implementing measures to minimize the probability of property, liability, and net income losses while providing underwriters with a better comfort level when writing risks.

He has 20 years of loss prevention experience working within the insurance brokerage field, five years of experience within the insurance carrier industry, and five years of experience within the private manufacturing sector.

John’s master’s degree course work was in systems safety engineering at the University of Southern California, and his bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering was completed at Los Angeles State University. He is a Certified Safety Professional (Fire Protection) and has an Associate in Risk Management designation.
