Last year was another record-breaking year for the amount of securities class actions filed against public companies. Indeed, lately every year is breaking a new record, with 2019 on track to do just that.

Based on the pace of the first half of 2019, we may see another record broken by the end of this year. In 2018, plaintiffs filed 217 securities class action cases; at the rate this year is going, we could see upwards of 268 cases.
