Woodruff Sawyer announced today that Christopher Kakel has been named “Power Broker” by Risk and Insurance magazine. The Power Broker award recognizes the best commercial property/casualty brokers in more than 20 industry categories across the nation. The distinguished group of brokers was selected based on key factors including creativity in finding solutions for their clients, responsiveness and dedication to customer service, and their industry knowledge. This is the third time that Chris has received the designation in his career.

Chris is a SVP and Partner who joined Woodruff Sawyer in 2014 as a founding member of the firm’s Denver office. His expertise resides in various product lines including workers’ compensation, general/products liability, auto liability, umbrella/excess liability, professional liability, captives, self-insurance, collateral mitigation strategies, and other risk financing approaches. Chris was named to Woodruff Sawyer’s board of directors in 2016.
