Irvine, California – June 2, 2021 – Woodruff Sawyer, one of the largest independent insurance brokerages in the US, today announced John Fuhrman will join the company as Southern California Practice Leader. Prior to joining Woodruff Sawyer, John was a managing director at Marsh, where he led the company’s Pacific South partnership.
Previous to Marsh, John spent 10 years as a managing partner with Willis Towers Watson.
As Southern California Practice Leader, John will lead the region’s operations including aligning the interests of the organization with client services, recruiting new talent, and identifying opportunities for growth. Fuhrman says, “Coming in, I expect to spend a good amount of time talking with associates and clients with a concentration on customer service, solving client problems, and developing innovative solutions. Woodruff Sawyer was a tough competitor when I was up against them, and obviously a growing organization with lots of discipline—these are my kind of people.”
